A Message From Tyron Flores
Our COO Tyron Flores introduces the Rising Star Scholarship — what it is, how it works, and why your Rising Star should apply.

What It Is
More Than Lessons — It's Recognition.
The Rising Star Scholarship was born from a simple idea: opportunity can transform lives. It exists thanks to the generosity of those who believe in empowering young musicians and investing in their future.
It is our way of telling our students: we see your effort, we value your growth, and we believe in your journey.
“Because when we give a student the chance to shine, we are not only shaping musicians — we are shaping futures.”
10 Scholarships
Each awards 4 bonus lessons on top of the student's regular weekly lessons — the scholarship adds lessons, it never replaces or discounts regular tuition.
Your Recital, On Us
Every Rising Star takes the stage at the cycle's recital — and the school covers the recital registration fee, a $75–$100 value.
Instrument of Choice
Scholars use their lessons on the instrument they love — piano, guitar, drums, vocals, and more.
Certificate of Achievement
Every Rising Star Scholar receives an official certificate, presented on stage at the recital in front of the whole community.
Community Recognition
Scholars are celebrated through the school's channels and at recitals — a moment to shine that inspires their peers.
Who Can Apply
What Makes a Rising Star
Any active TWOM student ages 4–17 can apply — Kissimmee, Four Corners, or Narcoossee. Selection recognizes the habits that define every great musician:
Enrollment
Enrolled and active at The World of Music School for at least 6 months. For Fall 2026, that means enrolled since April 1, 2026 or earlier.
Attendance
Consistent, punctual attendance to all lessons.
Practice
Regular practice outside of class.
Participation
Active engagement during lessons and in school activities.
Progress
Continuous improvement in musical skills over time.
Attitude
Respect and positive behavior toward teachers and peers.
This scholarship is merit-based, not financial-need-based. True talent is not measured by circumstance, but by consistency, respect, and effort — the qualities that define every Rising Star.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can apply for the Rising Star Scholarship?
Any active student ages 4–17 with at least 6 months of enrollment at any of our three campuses — Kissimmee, Four Corners, or Narcoossee — on any instrument. For younger children, a parent or guardian completes the application on their behalf. Not at 6 months yet? You'll be eligible for a future cycle — keep practicing.
Is the scholarship based on financial need?
No. The Rising Star Scholarship is merit-based. Selection recognizes dedication, discipline, and commitment to musical growth — consistent attendance, regular practice, active participation, continuous progress, and a respectful attitude.
What exactly does each scholarship include?
Each Rising Star Scholarship covers 4 bonus lessons in the instrument of the student's choice, the recital registration fee for that cycle's recital, and an official Certificate of Achievement presented on stage. Ten scholarships are awarded per cycle.
How are Rising Stars selected?
A Selection Committee made up of music instructors and school administration reviews every application, evaluating commitment, progress, passion, and attitude. Their role is not only to select recipients, but to recognize the spirit of students striving to grow through music.
How will I know if my child was selected?
Selected recipients are contacted directly by the school, and official announcements are made through our communication channels — the App, email, WhatsApp, and newsletter. Scholars are also recognized at the school with a certificate ceremony.
How can families support the program?
Through the Pay It Forward sponsorship program: $160 sponsors one Rising Star, $480 sponsors three, and $1,600 funds the entire class of ten scholars. Every contribution, big or small, builds a community where students know their dreams matter.
Can my child win more than once? Any other rules?
One scholarship per family per cycle, and past Rising Stars sit out one cycle before reapplying — so the spotlight reaches as many dedicated students as possible. Scholarship lessons are additional lessons during the scholarship month; they don't replace regular tuition.
