In 2025, The World of Music School partnered with Lionhart Music School (Haines City, FL) to produce the first-ever inter-school Battle of the Bands in Central Florida. Eight bands competed — four from TWOM, selected through an internal Band Program competition, and four from Lionhart — all on the stage of the Davenport School of the Arts auditorium.
In front of 250+ guests and a panel of judges drawn from music teachers, music industry professionals, music store representatives, and independent musicians, seven bands competed for the title. After an intense night of performances, The Undefined — one of TWOM's four competing bands — was named the 2025 Battle of the Bands Champion.
The win opened doors. The Undefined was invited to perform at a Mardi Gras event, and more opportunities are already lining up. This is what happens when students are given a real stage and real competition.

Central Florida has dozens of incredible music schools. Each one serves families, builds students, and contributes to our community. But too often, these schools operate in isolation — or worse, see each other only as competition.
We believe there's a better way. The Battle of the Bands was built on a simple idea: friendly competition creates community. When schools come together on the same stage, students grow, audiences expand, families connect, and every school walks away stronger.
This isn't about one school beating another. It's about giving our students the biggest possible stage — and building the kind of music education community that Central Florida deserves.
