Built froma singlelesson.
How a music teacher from Uruguay became the founder of Central Florida's fastest-growing — and most awarded — music school.

We wanted to build something families looked forward to every single week — a place where kids don't just learn music, they belong to something.

Orlando's Best
Music Lessons 2024
From Montevideo to Central Florida — the long way around.
Max Acosta grew up in Montevideo, Uruguay, where music wasn't a class — it was daily life. When his family moved to New Jersey at age 10, free school programs opened the door. He spent the next decade teaching, performing, and managing music schools across the Northeast — learning what makes students stay and what makes them quit.
In 2020, he moved to Central Florida with his family and found a gap no one was filling: no school that combined serious instruction with genuine warmth, and no place where students performed on a real stage in front of a real crowd. He started teaching out of living rooms. In August 2021, he opened the first campus. The rest is the timeline below.

The journey, from the start.
New Jersey. Building the craft.
Over a decade teaching, managing schools, and performing professionally in New Jersey. Max learned what makes students stay — and what makes them quit.

One teacher. Living rooms.
Max moves to Central Florida, loads a keyboard into his car, and starts teaching private lessons in students' homes. One student becomes five, then twenty.

Doors open in Kissimmee.
August: The World of Music School opens its first campus at 4477 W Vine St. December: the Band Program holds its first live show. 150+ students by year's end.

280+ weekly students.
The Sun on the Beach partnership launches recurring Band Program shows. Word spreads across Central Florida.

Four Corners opens.
The second campus hits 100 students in its first month. Blueprints become walls. The teacher roster grows past 20 instructors.

Award-winning. Three campuses.
Narcoossee opens — and the whole family shows up to celebrate. Orlando's Best Music Lessons 2024. Shows now draw 600+ attendees.

Battle of the Bands. Premier Recital. The app.
TWOM wins the first-ever inter-school Battle of the Bands. Our inaugural Premier Recital brings students to a professional theater stage for the first time. A custom student app launches on iOS & Android.

What's coming.
Master curriculum. Candlelight concert series. Morning programs. Summer camps. And at least 5 more campuses in the pipeline.
More than music lessons.
A community.
Bandsgiving dinners. Halloween costumes. WhatsApp groups that feel like family group chats. Inside jokes that survive for years. The Band Program creates friendships and memories that outlast any performance. Every student becomes part of the TWOM family — and we keep growing, supporting our students and teachers in their dreams.

Three principles. Zero compromise.
Genuine care, always.
Every student is known by name — their goals, their pace, their favorite songs. That culture starts at the front door and never stops.
Personalized from day one.
No two lesson plans look the same. Our proprietary Immersive Music System adapts to each student's level, interests, and goals — so progress feels natural.
Spaces built to inspire.
Immersive lesson technology in every classroom, glass-door studios, and campuses designed to make every student feel like they belong on a real stage.
Why Central Florida families choose us.

The only Band Program of its kind
18+ student bands rehearse weekly and perform live shows at a 600-person professional venue. No other music school in Central Florida offers this.
Premier Recitals & showcases

Technology that keeps students engaged
Immersive lesson technology with pro headphones and mixers in every classroom, plus a custom iOS & Android app with practice tools, lesson notes, and progress tracking.
This is chapter one.
Max's roadmap doesn't stop at three locations. The vision is a network of 8+ campuses across Florida, a master curriculum backed by integrated technology, and programs that set a new standard for what music education can look and feel like.

Every student's story starts here — and ends wherever they decide to take it.
